A retired homeschool mom, wedding florist, and nutrition coach who understands what it’s like to struggle with health and fitness. After years of not knowing what to do to both lose weight AND keep it off, I found freedom through macro counting. The problem for me was that I didn’t have a clear path with a step-by-step approach for weight loss, and I was always throwing spaghetti at the wall trying to see what stuck. I hit a point when I was done trying to go it alone. I finally hired a nutrition coach, and this changed everything. With my coach’s help, I learned how to track macros, balance my nutrition, and how much food I actually needed to fuel my body properly. I lost 20 pounds and have maintained my weight loss for years. Perimenopause, which begins up to 10 years before menopause can start to cause hormonal shifts that can affect your body in many ways. Even our hunger hormone (ghrelin) and our satiety hormone (leptin) can be affected!
